Best 2 day Marrakech tour to Zagora through High Atlas Mountains and Tizi N’tichka pass and UNESCO world heritage site of Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou. As well as, we will drive along Draa Valley, famous for its date palm tree in Morocco. At the end, we will enjoy a spectacular night with music and camel.
Day 1: Marrakech – High Atlas Mountains – Zagora.
We will meet you up at your Riad or Hotel. Then, we will start our 2 day desert to the Sahara through Atlas Mountains by Tizi n tichka pass (an altitude of 2260 m), and Ait ben Haddou Ksar, one of the best fortified towns. It has been listed under UNESCO World Heritage Sites since 1987. Therefore, we will continue on to the Sahara desert via Ouarzazate. Yes, it is the true gateway to the south of Morocco, it attracts tourists by its movie industry. After that, we will keep driving to Agdez, and Draa valley with its procession of date trees, ending the desert journey outside Zagora to experience camels and overnight in a tent. Day 2: Zagora – Ouarzazate – Tizi N Tichka – Marrakech.
Early in the morning, we will wake up to enjoy the sunrise (magic of Sahara desert). Moreover, we will have breakfast and drive or ride camel back but it is highly recommended to experience it once. Later, we will continue driving the car heading to Marrakech city. Moreover, it will be the same road as we did on the first day. Then, we will cross Draa valley and Agdez, a place located on the old caravan route linking Marrakech to Timbuktu city in Mali. Above all, the Taourirt Ksar in Ouarzazate, is a fortified Kasr, along the former caravan route between the desert, and Marrakech. Besides, we will visit the Studio of cinema, if the time permits. So, it is the place where many movies were filmed such as: Gladiator, Mummy and Lawrence of Arabia. Finally, we will end our trip in Marrakech. 365 KM.
