Overview

Today, we will start our Half Walking Tour (4 hours) to explore the main attractions including Bahia Palace, Main Square, Souks… and La Koutoubia Mosque. So, our Marrakech tour guide will meet at the reception of the Riad or hotel because there is no need to use the car. Otherwise, your accomodations is outside Marrakech Medina, then the meeting point will be by the famous Mosque “La Koutoubia ”, is one the tallest building inside Medina. In other words, our Marrakech Tour Guides are depthly knowledgeable of their history and patience. Consequently, they will show you all of the main areas of the city from the Koutoubia Mosque to the Bahia Palace and onto the Medina.

The Walking Tour Details:

La Koutoubia Mosque:

The Koutoubia Mosque is the highest structure and the largest mosque in all of Marrakech Medina. So, the minaret is 70 m high and it is facing the great square of Jemaa El Fna where everyone goes by evening to enjoy the snake charmer, storytellers.. and food too.

Jemaa El Fna:

Basically, this is the most visited square and market place in Marrakesh’s medina quarter (old city). It is also used by locals and tourists. Besides, the Jemaa el Fna is one of the most amazing place in Morocco. However, it is the living heart of the city of Marrakech.

Bahia Palace:

The Bahia palace well maintained with woodcarving, geometric painting, and stucco work throughout the ceilings of the palace. As well as, the Palace includes a tangle of 160 richly decorated Rooms, Riads, Mosque, Koranic School, Harem and Moorish style.

Is it walkable in Marrakesh Medina?

Marrakech Medina is walkable city and all sights are centrally located and easily walked to. Moreover, there is no need to hire car if you are staying in the old part of the city. As well as, Almost every Moroccan city has a medina, the old town, with small streets, often walled and largely car free. Most of the sights in Marrakech city are also nearby each other.
